Ed Sheeran teamed up with surprise guests Dan + Shay on Saturday night (June 20) in Nashville, Tennessee.

Sheeran took the stage at Nissan Stadium, and introduced the award-winning duo to thousands of fans in the venue. Dan + Shay performed with the “Perfect” hitmaker for the first time ever, delivering a rendition of the country duo’s Grammy-winning 2018 single, “Tequila.” iHeartRadio’s Nashville-based hit music station, 107.5 The River, shared a clip of that moment on Instagram, hailing it “the collab we didn’t know we needed but are so happy we got 😭”

Sheeran’s performance with Dan + Shay in Music City marks his latest team-up with a country artist. He collaborated with Megan Moroney on a track that appeared on Cloud 9, her studio album that released earlier this year, and onstage appearances with Luke Combs (he even wrote about Combs when the country superstar was revealed among TIME’s most influential people of 2026).

Sheeran is in the midst of his headlining “LOOP Tour,” and might “take some time off” with his wife and children once it wraps up. The final show on Sheeran’s stadium tour is set for December 12. Watch him take the stage with Dan + Shay in Nashville here:
