Taylor Swift's skill with a pen has been forever cemented in history.

On Wednesday (January 21), it was announced on CBS Mornings that the Life of a Showgirl singer will be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2026. Not only does the achievement recognize her lyrical talent but, at 36 years old, it also makes her the youngest woman to have been inducted and the second youngest overall, per Variety. Stevie Wonder remains the youngest inductee, earning the honor in 1983 when he was 32.

According to NBC News, a songwriter becomes eligible for the Hall of Fame 20 years after their first commercially-released composition, which for Swift is her song "Tim McGraw," which came out in June 2006. Swift selected several fan-favorite songs for the selection process, including "All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor's Version)," "Blank Space," "Anti-Hero," "Love Story" and "The Last Great American Dynasty."

The "Fate of Ophelia" hitmaker is one of many legendary musicians set to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame this year, joining her fellow 2026 class Alanis Morissette, Kenny Loggins, Christopher "Tricky" Stewart, Walter Afanasieff, Kiss' Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley and duo Terry Britten and Graham Lyle.

The 2026 Songwriters Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held June 11.
