Just released! Here is the official trailer for Morgan Neville's new documentary, "Won't You Be My Neighbor?" hitting select theaters this June. Not to be confused with Tom Hanks playing Mr. Rogers in the upcoming biopic, "You Are My Friend." (Because everyone has to jump on the Mr Rogers "Trolley" - see what I did there?)
Fred Rogers was the star of the children’s television show Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. The series premiered up north on CBC Television in 1963. It debuted in the U.S. five years later. It aired until Rogers’ retirement in 2001. In his 3+ decades on air, Rogers forever cemented himself as an icon of children’s television. He served as an advocate for early childhood education and public broadcasting. A true champion of the people, he was essentially responsible for the long term success of PBS.
