What To Do If You Find a Spotted Lanternfly

posted by Jo Mercer -

The invasive and dangerous Spotted Lanternfly is officially in the following areas in Berks, and spreading quickly: Amity, Colebrookdale, Douglass, District, Douglass, Earl, Hereford, Longswamp, Oley, Maxatawny, Pike, Rockland and Washington townships and the boroughs of Bally, Bechtelsville, Boyertown, Kutztown and Topton.

And on Saturday, I killed three of them in Muhlenberg Township! According to the Penn State Extension website, please be sure to report all sightings to badbug@pa.gov or 1-866-253-7189, so that locations can be accurately tracked and followed-up on by our teams in the field.
