Theme Of 2025 PA Farm Show Announced: Powering Pennsylvania

The theme for the 2025 Pennsylvania Farm Show, "Powering Pennsylvania," was announced on Thursday (September 26) at Oregon Dairy in Lititz, Lancaster County. The theme aims to highlight the commonwealth's commitment to agriculture and its role in powering the state's economy.

State Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding, in a news release, said, "Agriculture powers Pennsylvania. We hope you'll join us in January to kick off your 2025 with people like Oregon Dairy's Hurst and Forry families, who power our families with nutritious food every day." He added that thousands of farm families contribute to the state's economy, supporting 593,000 jobs and injecting more than $132.5 billion into communities every year.

The Farm Show, part of Pennsylvania's State Fair, is in its 109th year and will run from January 4 through January 11 at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center in Harrisburg. The event is expected to attract half a million residents and visitors, featuring a 1,000-pound butter sculpture, the Farm Show Food Court, thousands of competitive agricultural events, homegrown cooking demonstrations, and more.

According to Morning Ag Clips, Oregon Dairy, where the theme was announced, is a family-run agritourism destination, green-energy producer, and community economic driver. The dairy farm, which started in 1952, includes a full-service supermarket, bakery, and restaurant, and is powered by solar panels, recycling, and a manure digester that turns waste into energy.
