EzriCare Eyedrops Recalled Over Bacterial Infections Linked To Vision Loss, One Death

(Undated) -- The makers of a brand of "artificial tears" eyedrops are recalling the product over potentially serious bacterial infections. Global Pharma Healthcare says their EzriCare eyedrops have been linked to bacteria that have caused permanent vision loss, with one death reported due to a bloodstream infection. There have been 55 cases of adverse reactions logged in 12 states so far, none of them in Pennsylvania. The CDC is urging consumers to stop using the drops immediately. The EzriCare product has been distributed nationwide, also under the Delsam Pharma brand name.
