** A MAJOR NOR'EASTER WILL DUMP MORE THAN A FOOT OF SNOW ON THE VALLEY **

Today: Cold with sunshine giving way to clouds. High 34. Winds east and 5 mph. Brisk and quite cold tonight with snow arriving around midnight, and leaving a slippery accumulation for the morning commute. Low 24. 

Tomorrow and tomorrow evening: Windy and cold with snow, some of it heavy at times; roads will be snow-packed and the visibility will be poor. High 33. Winds northeast at 12-25 mph with gusts to near 40 mph.

Later tomorrow night: Cold with a leftover snow shower. Low 21. Storm total snowfall 12-18 inches, but locally higher amounts of up to 2 feet are possible. 

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy, windy and cold with a couple of snow showers around. High 29.
