Christa's Cookbook - Oatmeal Recipe

This week I wanted to share a breakfast item with you. Over the past couple months, I've really fallen back in love with Oatmeal. I went weeks making this every single morning, because it was THAT good! You can get creative with oatmeal toppings, my sister in law even made up an oatmeal bar at her house after we spent the holidays together having oatmeal every morning! So have fun with the toppings you love! I am sharing my favorite combinations with you this week.

Ingredients:

1/2 Cup Old Fashioned Quaker Oats

1 Cup Almond Milk

2 tbsp. Shredded Coconut

2 tbsp. Sliced Almonds

1 tsp. Chia Seeds

1 tsp. Organic Maple Syrup (or any kind of syrup you prefer)

1 tbsp. Brown Sugar

Blueberries (as many as you'd like)

1 Banana

Instructions:

Boil 1 cup of almond milk (or milk of your choice) and mix in 1/2 cup of oats, cook about 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Pour into serving bowl and top with additional ingredients to your liking. Feel free to play around with flavors and add in what you like!
