After responding to a car crash in Washington state last Friday, three firefighters from Central Pierce Fire and Rescue went above and beyond the call of duty to serve the public. The driver, who worked for Instacart, wasn’t seriously hurt, but their vehicle had to be towed, leaving their grocery order undelivered.
Rather than let the food go to waste, the firefighters loaded up the bags and finished the delivery themselves. They brought the groceries straight to the customer, making sure the order arrived as expected.
The department later shared a photo of the smiling firefighters holding paper grocery bags. In their message, they said it was a small gesture that made a big difference. Commenters praised the crew for going the extra mile and supporting their community.
