DDG: HS Football Teams Unite In Sportsmanship For Player With Down Syndrome

Last Thursday evening, during a football game between Fayetteville-Manlius High School and Henninger High School in Manlius, New York, both teams came together for a special moment of sportsmanship. With Fayetteville-Manlius leading the game 42-16, the focus shifted to creating a memorable experience for one player, Noah Dickinson, a Fayetteville-Manlius running back with Down syndrome.

In the final moments of the game, he was given a handoff and ran 75 yards for a touchdown, with players and fans from both teams cheering him on. The Henninger defense played along, allowing Noah to narrowly escape their tackle attempts to complete the run and experience the thrill of scoring.

The heartwarming moment of camaraderie showed how competition can be set aside in favor of kindness. Both teams celebrated Noah's touchdown, making him feel like a true football star, and the moment became a highlight not just of the game, but of his life.
