A father-daughter relationship is going viral for all the right reasons. Megan Lawton recently shared a video on TikTok of some of the elaborate and hilarious texts exchanged by her and her dad and it’s giving the Internet all the feels.
Some of the messages are random, like one that reads, “Morning kid, hope you are OK. There is a hose in field at back of our house. I think he/she is depressed, stands still for hours gazing over fence. I will try to talk to horse. Have a good day.” Others are encouraging, like this one: “Morning Megan, hope you are ok. Good luck with your interview, however, you won’t need it. And if you don’t get the job, it’s their f-ing loss. Love you very much, Dad.”
The 30-year-old says her dad started messaging her every day when she left for college as a way to check in on her. If Megan didn’t reply, he would get concerned, but now she looks forward to the daily correspondence and if she doesn’t hear from him, it’s her who starts to worry. “I always knew he was a special character and that I was incredibly lucky to have him,” she says, “but seeing everyone’s kind reactions to him … has been overwhelming.”
