Last week, Arkansas teen Cody Hoover won $20-thousand for sinking a half-court shot during a timeout at an Oklahoma City Thunder versus Utah Jazz NBA game. The 18-year-old, who’d just wrapped up his high school basketball career, earned the opportunity to take the shot by winning a free-throw contest. Hoover plans to use the prize money to repay his parents for the game ticket and save the rest for college expenses as he heads to University of Central Arkansas in the fall.
