Jor’el Bolden, a Missouri teenager with large feet, struggled to find comfortable shoes due to his size-23 feet. After his family shared how difficult it is to find shoes that fit the teen, they received a message from NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal, who wears a size 22. Shaq surprised Bolden with a video call and later sent him three boxes filled with 20 pairs of shoes and some clothes, too.
Bolden's mother described the moment her son heard from Shaq as life-changing. His generous gesture brought joy to the teen, who compared it to a better version of Christmas morning. Before receiving Shaq's gift, Bolden wore tight size-22 shoes found on eBay, which caused him discomfort and prevented him from enjoying activities like going to the movies.
Shaq's act of kindness isn't an isolated incident; he has a reputation for being generous with fans and previously helped another teenager in need of shoes. With the kind gift from the NBA legend and money the family raised from a crowdfund set up to buy him custom shoes, the teen should be set until he outgrows his current size-23 kicks. Bolden expressed gratitude for Shaq's generosity, thanking him for his time and the support.
