Study: Sleeping Instead Of Sitting Helps With Weight Loss

A new study suggests that replacing 30 minutes of sitting with 30 minutes of sleep each day can lead to weight loss and a reduction in waistlines. This simple change was found to lower overall body mass by nearly one pound and trim about two-thirds of an inch from waistlines. The study also found similar benefits when replacing sitting with standing or light activity like walking. Sitting for extended periods may increase the risk of obesity and related health issues, and incorporating more sleep or physical activity into daily routines can help counteract these effects.
