A Pennsylvania woman who was killed in a shark attack while snorkeling in the Bahamas has been identified. Gannon University in Erie has released a statement regarding the death of Caroline DiPlacido. Officials there say the 58-year-old was the project coordinator for the Office of Community and Government Relations at their Erie Campus. DiPlacido was vacationing with her family when she was attacked by a bull shark Tuesday afternoon northwest of Rose Island. The university said, "The news is devastating, and she will be missed. "
