An explosion at Reading Alloys in South Heidelberg Township has fire and ambulance crews rushing to the scene. The explosion happened sometime after 1:30pm. One report from Fire Alerts of Berks County on Facebook says that multiple people are injured. Others have reported being able to have felt the rumble from the explosion for many miles away.
Many products inside the buildings are reactive to water so fire crews are having to determine the best way to extinguish the blaze.
