A collection of roughly 70 cats and kittens are now in the hands of a Greensburg animal shelter after having been rescued Sunday from a hoarding situation. The nonprofit Ninth Life Rescue Center reports that some of the animals taken in from the Westmoreland County home are suffering from medical ailments but that all will receive the treatment they need. No charges are expected to be filed against the homeowners who had kept the cats as they were proactive about reaching out for help.
