The Berks County Department of Emergency Service is reporting that there have been multiple accidents on I78 since this morning. Crews are now reporting periods of white out conditions as the wind picks up. Motorists should use extreme caution if traveling this highway or consider an alternate route.
According to Fire Alerts of Berks County around 1pm about 6 vehicles were involved in a crash on 78 westbound in Upper Tulpehocken Township and around 12:45pm 4 vehicles were involved in a crash on 78 westbound in Upper Bern Township. Early this morning there was a crash involving up to 15 vehicles on 78 eastbound in Bethel Township.
