The Nevada Gaming Control Board has successfully tracked down a tourist who won about $230,000 playing the slots last month, but never knew it. The man hit the jackpot at Treasure Island on January 8th. But, because of a slot machine malfunction, neither he nor the casino staff were notified that he won. By the time officials realized the error, the man from out of state was long gone. To track the guy down, the gaming control board reviewed hours of surveillance footage, interviewed witnesses, looked at purchase records, and even analyzed rideshare data. It turns out the now-richer man lives in Arizona.
