A local school bus driver for Twin Valley School District gave the special needs students on her bus a wonderful Christmas surprise! Sharon Ruth drives bus for many of the special education students for Robeson Elementary Center. This bus is known as "the party bus" because of all the fun music, decorations, and warm greetings from Ms. Sharon and her aide Ms. Dottie Warmijak.
As a Christmas gift, Ms. Sharon (who has 10 children of her own) surprised the students by writing and illustrating a book about the kids' bus ride to and from school. She included personal details about each child and what they like to do and say on the bus. It's called “Bumpity Bump Bump!” which the children like to say as they drive over speed bumps. The book was so beautifully written and illustrated and really gave the grown ups great insight into their kids’ time on the bus.
Excerpt from the final pages of the book
“Ms. Sharon and Ms. Dottie love to drive the children on the little bus. Each day, they look forward to seeing their friends and spending a little bit of time with them on the way to and from Robeson Elementary Center.”
