Another lawsuit has been filed over the tuna in Subway's tuna sandwiches.
Back in January, a class-action suit was filed in California claiming Subway's tuna sandwich was "bereft of tuna." In June, plaintiffs Karen Dhanowa and Nilima Amin filed an amended complaint claiming the tuna was not "100-percent sustainably caught" as stated in Subway's advertising.
The suit was dismissed in October, so they are trying again. Now the plaintiffs have filed a new suit, this time claiming the sandwich contains chicken, pork and cattle, and is not 100-percent tuna. Subway calls the latest suit filed this week "reckless," and claims its tuna sandwich is made of "high-quality, wild-caught, 100-percent tuna."
