A gas station in southern Alberta, Canada has some serious ‘splaining to do to motorists with damaged engines. For three days, a Gas Plus station says tanks were “accidentally filled” with the wrong fuel, with diesel going into the gasoline tank, or vise-versa. The mix-up is said to have happened during a July 24thfuel delivery, and it happened with the diesel and regular tanks. Now, drivers with engine problems are trying to figure out how to get the gas station to pay for the repairs, some of which are reportedly running as high as $8,500, from gas tank/fuel line flushing to more extensive damage. GP Fuels says claims will be “dealt with in the coming weeks.”
