Meet Maxie! She is an 11-year-old lady who needs a new home. Sadly, Maxie previously had a wonderful home, but her owner has passed away. Now Maxie is shy and nervous at the shelter. Her new owner will need to be patient with her. Maxie had only ever lived with her previous owner before so new situations and new faces can be intimidating to Maxie. She did live with another cat and did well with him. The best home for Maxie would be with other calm pets, no small kids, in a quieter household, and with a new family who will go slow with me as I continue to adjust to all these new changes. Maxie is avaible for adoption at the Animal Rescue League of Berks County.
