An alligator is recovering after being pulled from the frigid waters of a Pennsylvania river. The owner of Christina's Reptile and Animal Sanctuary Christina Obrecht responded to a report that fisherman Logan Bauer and his father saw a three-foot gator in the water of Lehigh River near Allentown. Obrecht plucked the exhausted reptile from the water and put him in a duffel bag for transport. Obrecht suspects the alligator was a pet abandoned by its owner once it got too big. She stressed the importance of calling an experienced facility instead of releasing an animal into an incompatible habitat.
