An eight-year-old boy just saved his 20-month-old little sister from choking on a chicken nugget and he says it’s all thanks to John Cena. Young Jaxson Dempsey is a fan of Cena’s Nickelodeon show, “The Substitute,” and says that on its first episode “[Cena] showed how to save someone when they’re choking.”
Jaxson and his littler sister were in the car while their dad was driving when his sister started choking. Jaxson was able to pat his 20-month-old sister on the back to free the chicken nugget she was choking on.
Since the story has broken, the actor and WWE champ reached out to Jaxson with a personal message of thanks. Cena tells Jaxson that his story touched his heart. “I want to commend you because the actions of a true hero are those who act in a time of crisis,” he says. “Usually when bad things happen, one of the toughest things for all of us to do is to take action. You jumped right in and helped out the best you could, doing so you saved your sister's life. I really want to say thank you for being you Jaxson.”
