There are some trends on TikTok we can’t wait to try, like making those whipped coffees last year, and then there are some that just leave us shaking our heads, like the latest one. In one of the strangest crazes to catch on, parents are posting videos of themselves dunking their kids’ faces into water. And for some reason, it’s become a viral trend.
In the videos, moms are standing behind their kids, who are seated at a table with a bowl of water in front of each. Then mom is asked a series of “who is” questions, like “who is the sneakiest?,” “who gets in trouble most?,” and “who will be the last to leave home?” And in response to each one, moms dunk the face of the kid they believe fits the description right into the water.
There are hundreds of these videos on TikTok showing amused moms and dads taking part but the surprising part? The kids seem to be having fun, too! Their faces are only in the water for a fraction of a second, so they’re not really in danger and some moms are swapping water for whipped cream for a sweet treat.
