Country Singers Draws Criticism After Holding Packed Concerts

Country music stars Chase Rice and Chris Janson are drawing criticism from other artists for ignoring social distancing at concerts over the weekend. Kelsea Ballerini was one of those who spoke yesterday about Rice's performance in front of a packed outdoor crowd on Saturday, saying all country artists want to tour and perform, but they care about their fans enough not to put them in danger. Rice performed at the Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary, and Janson played at the Highway 30 Fest in Idaho but later deleted footage of the concert from his social media. Brian May of the Brushy Mountain Group said they followed all local protocols and attendance at the ten-thousand seat venue was around one-thousand people.
