In recent weeks, our community has come together to help local farmers during this difficult time. You may have participated in or heard about the mass egg distribution in Kempton to help a local farmer who wasn't able to deliver eggs like usual because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Similarly, local farmers are working together to help other farmers facing depopulation of their chicken flock because the demand for chicken is down with some restaurants being closed and others not operating at full capacity are holding a bulk chicken distribution for the public.
The sale is this Saturday June 13th from 8am-4pm at Kenny Stehr's and Sons Farm in Pitman. The sale include whole natural birds, breasts, tenders, and wings. Along with chicken, the event on Saturday offers fresh produce and baked goods. To pre-order, click here.
