A teen in Oklahoma found out he has a heart condition and credits his Apple Watch for saving his life by notifying him of his high heart rate. Skylar Joslin was just sitting in class when his watch let him know his heart rate was 190 and he knew something was wrong.
His mom rushed him to the hospital, where he was diagnosed with Supraventricular tachycardia, which causes a rapid heartbeat and weakens the heart over time. Skylar had an eight-hour surgery to fix his heart’s rhythms and now wears a device that monitors his heart, along with his trusty Apple Watch.
