An NHL mascot is accused of assaulting a young fan after a photo op. It happened in November when the Philadelphia Flyers' Gritty was doing a photoshoot with season ticket holders. The 13-year-old boy's father tells the Philadelphia Inquirer his son "playfully patted" Gritty on the head after the picture was taken. That's when the seven-foot furry orange creature allegedly "took a running start" and hit the teen in the back. The Flyers say they looked into the incident and found nothing to support the man's claim. A police investigation is ongoing.
