A teacher is facing charges for an incident with a student in Flagler County. Buddy Taylor Middle School teacher Jeffrey Paffumi was arrested yesterday for battery. Deputies say he lifted a 14-year-old boy out of his seat in class, carried the boy outside the room and pushed him. The student claims it happened after he ignored Paffumi's orders to shut off music he was playing on his computer, and he called the teacher a cracker. There's video of part of the incident, and Superintendent James Tager says that's part of the investigation. Tager also says Paffumi is on leave, and that kind of conduct from a teacher will not be tolerated.
