Two Children Shot by Driver After Throwing Snowballs at Cars

A Wisconsin winter wonderland in Milwaukee turned into a gun range Saturday night when an enraged motorist took aim and fired at a group of kids throwing snowballs at passing cars. Two children in the group were shot, according to the Milwaukee Police. One of the snowballs hit a white Toyota and the driver fired shots at the group, hitting a 13-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl. On Saturday, January 4, 2020, at approximately 7:50 p.m., the Milwaukee Police Department responded to a shooting on the 6100 Block of West Birch St. Upon arrival officers found a 12 year old Milwaukee female suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound. Minutes later a 13-year-old Milwaukee male was found also suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound. Officers immediately applied first aide to both victims. Both are being treated at a local hospital. According to a series of tweets posted by the Milwaukee Police, the kids were found with nonlife-threatening gunshot wounds and transported to a hospital after receiving first aid treatment from officers. The girl was shot twice and the boy was shot once. Both are expected to recover, according to a local ABC affiliate. Neither a description of the driver or their vehicle has been released, but the police put out a call for tips from the public.
