Kentucky man accused of skinning neighbors' dogs to make coat

WARNING: Details in this story are extremely graphic.

A Kentucky man is in custody after allegedly skinning his neighbors' four dogs to make a "doggy coat." Officers arrested 38-year-old Jonathan D. Watkins in David following a call from Watkins neighbor, who reported that the man, who was covered in blood, told him he had been skinning dogs. Both him and another neighbor were missing dogs, whose suspected animal carcasses were discovered on Watkins' front porch. Police reported finding a large hunting knife before Watkins said to them that he was making a "doggy coat" and found nothing wrong with making himself a fur coat. He faces charges of animal torture and tampering with physical evidence, but must undergo a psych evaluation first.
