Christmas came early for some deserving children who are part of the Children’s Hospice International network. Over 100 kids got to fly from Washington-Dulles airport to meet Santa on United Airlines’ Fantasy Flights.
This was the 30th anniversary of the program, which treats critically ill children and their families to a flight on “Snowflake 1” to Santa’s workshop, which is really a terminal decked out to look like a winter wonderland. The kids are treated to holiday fun, treats, face-painting, and of course, lots of presents.
United Airlines does several Fantasy Flights out of its hubs during the holidays, giving the families a day where they can enjoy being together and the magic of the holidays and leave all the rest behind for a bit.
