Secret Santa- the wealthy, anonymous businessman who travels around the country giving away hundred-dollar bills to strangers during the holidays - enlisted help from some new helpers this year. He recruited drivers from the Milwaukee County Transit System to be elves and help him give away cash.
He chose these bus drivers because they’re always doing good deeds, from stopping to help a turtle cross the street to rescuing a lost child wandering around alone. Secret Santa let five drivers get in on the giving, they passed out money to passengers and gave away thousands to surprised folks.
But it wasn’t just the people who got the money who appreciated the act of kindness - the drivers were affected by the gesture as well. “It was a great experience,” one driver explains. “It’s going to stick with me for the rest of my life.”
