For the last two years, Nick Butter has been running. The 30-year-old former banker from England just finished running a marathon in every country in the world, something no one else has done before.
Butter started in January 2018, visiting 193 countries recognized by the United Nations, and three that are not, spending 674 days total on his tour. He took 455 flights and ran in 15 war zones, finishing at the Athens Marathon in Greece last week. And he did it all for his friend, Kevin Webber, who was diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer. Along the way, Butter raise more than $93,000 for prostate cancer research.
“This extraordinary man was not only one of the most positive and happy people I’ve ever met but he made a huge impact on me and how I live my life,” Butter says of Webber. “This trip is for him.”
