Daily Do Good: Community Recreates Halloween For Girl Who Was Hospitalized

Piper Allen missed out on Halloween, but ended up with an even better surprise. The six-year-old is battling tuberous sclerosis, a rare disease that causes tumors and growths on the brain and organs. She had to miss out on Halloween because she was undergoing testing to see which treatment she could have to stop her seizures, at Texas Children’s Hospital.

While Piper was in the hospital, her parents, Chris and Kristin, whipped up a Halloween party with more than 40 neighbors for the girl. The community gathered candy, posters and other treats for Piper and on Saturday, after getting home, she had the time of her life!
