Look Out For More Deer On The Roadways

State officials are warning motorists to watch out for amorous deer. The Pennsylvania Game Commission says deer are becoming more active right now due to their fall breeding season, known commonly as the "rut." Due to the rut, young bucks are actively searching for new ranges while older bucks are chasing does around their territories while looking to mate. All this activity translates into more deer on or crossing roadways, making them a hazard to driver, especially between dusk and dawn when the beasts are at their busiest.
