Colette Kingston checks on her 88-year-old mom and her home in Missouri using a Ring doorbell camera. Her mother, Opal, has dementia and Kingston says she got “a little teary eyed” when she recently saw a sanitation worker walking her mom up her driveway.
The video Kingston shared on Facebook shows Waste Management employee Billy Shelby helping Opal and complimenting and joking with her. “You are looking good, I like that hair,” he tells her. “You got it down, I got to work on mine.”
Kingston says she’s seen Shelby on the camera helping her mom before and she’s grateful for the kindness he shows her. She says, “It just reminds you that there are still a whole lot of good people out there.”
