A community in Pennsylvania is encouraging residents to break out the holiday lights and decorations early this year, but it’s all for a good cause: to make a little girl smile. Ariah Cook ,a six-year-old from Ulster Township, was diagnosed with stage 3 glioblastoma, an aggressive type of brain cancer and the decorations make her happy, so the town is starting to deck the halls now for her.
Ariah’s grandmother normally goes all out with Halloween and Christmas decorations, but she’s so busy taking the little girl back and forth to doctor’s appointments, she hasn’t had time. So neighbors are taking over and asking everyone to light up the town for Ariah with Halloween, Christmas, and even Easter decorations to help bring some joy to her as she battles cancer.
