PA Woman Finds Squirrel's Winter Stash of Nuts Under Car Hood

It’s the time of year when squirrels prep for winter. They gather as many nuts as they can and put them in a safe place.

One squirrel got very creative with its hiding place. Holly Persic was starting her car and noticed the smell of something burning and a strange noise. She immediately turned off the engine and lifted the hood. The problem was obvious. A squirrel had packed the engine compartment full of grass and walnuts. Hundreds of walnuts…. in every nook and cranny of that engine compartment.

That explained a lot. Holly previously noticed the walnuts that usually fell from their tree were gone. The woman shared on Facebook, "Long story short, if you park outside, do yourself a favor and check under the hood every once in awhile."
