A man accused of putting fishing hooks in cat food is in Luzerne County is pleading guilty. WNEP-TV reports defendant Kenny Rowles is admitting to putting meat on fishing lines to lure cats into biting the hooks. He had been jailed on several counts of aggravated animal cruelty after turning himself in last May. A cat required emergency surgery after being found with a hook placed by Rowles lodged in its mouth.
