A mother is suing a Minnesota elementary school over the invasive search she says her son underwent there. An attorney for the mother says her eight-year-old son was subjected to a body cavity "strip" search at Countryside Elementary School in Edina. Unidentified staffers allegedly stripped the boy to find out if he had defecated on a bathroom floor. But, his mother says the school district never notified her of the event, and left the second grader with extreme mental and emotional distress. Edina Public Schools has denied the allegations, calling them "inaccurate." The suit is seeking damages in excess of 50-thousand dollars.
