A trip to Disney World can be overwhelming for any kid, but Lauren Bergner knew it would take a lot of planning to help her son, Brody, who has autism, enjoy the trip. The six-year-old was waiting in line to meet Snow White when the long, hot day of excitement got to be too much and he had a meltdown.
But as he was sweating in the Florida summer heat and crying, Snow White knew exactly what to do to help him calm down. In a now-viral Facebook post, Bergner explains that the Disney Princess “was amazing,” kissing and cuddling her son and she took him for a walk away from the crowd.
The mom says she got emotional seeing how well Snow White handled Brody and how quickly he warmed up to her. But she was even more pleasantly surprised to see how the folks in line reacted. “I turned around, and they started clapping,” Bergner explains. “It was this magical moment that we will never, ever forget.”
