A Cumberland County man is facing animal cruelty charges after his 14-year-old dog was found decaying at his home. Shawn Abner was charged after the Husky named Eagle was found August 7th by a neighbor who was asked by the 53-year-old to check on him. Investigators say Abner told the neighbor he had a sitter for Eagle while he was in Kansas. Humane officials believe the dog was dead for at least a month.
