Philly Man Hospitalized After Being Attacked By Two Dogs for Over 6 Minutes

A homeless Philadelphia man is recovering after being mauled by two dogs in the city's Fairhill section. A pitbull and a bullmastiff reportedly pounced on the victim early yesterday near 6th and Tioga streets, biting and dragging him. Bystanders attempted to intervene, but the animals would not retreat until police arrived and fired on the animals. Cops say the bullmastiff is dead while the pit bull took off. The man is listed in stable condition after suffering deep wounds to his limbs.
