A Colorado woman is in custody for allegedly stealing a dog while its owner had a seizure. Police say 30-year-old Melody Mellon was at a 7-Eleven convenience store in Longmont where 59-year-old Robert Corbey began to have a seizure, and Mellon then took the man's dog named Sampson. Corbey was taken to a hospital by paramedics, but later died. A Longmont deputy police chief saw the dog the next day in the possession of a couple which led them to Mellon, who was arrested while sleeping in a stolen truck. Mellon, who was said to have spit and intentionally urinated in the responding patrol car, now faces various charges including auto theft and assault.
