A nurse in central Florida was at home when someone crashed into her house with their car. The collision was captured on surveillance video and shows a minivan swerving off the road and plowing into Carmen Roman’s home in Kissimmee.
She came running outside to see what was going on and then saw the driver was unresponsive behind the wheel, so Roman’s nurse instincts kicked in and she jumped into action. She says he had no pulse or heartbeat, so she started chest compressions and he became responsive soon after that. The video shows the man walking around later.
Instead of worrying about the damage to her house, she’s just grateful none of her children were injured in the crash. Roman says, “My kids are so proud, they’re like ‘Momma’s a hero!’”
