In May 2018, Preston Dray ran a food drive for the Boyertown Area Multi-Service as a school project. Onlookers were inspired as an 8 year old taught an entire community a lesson on charity and caring for others. In a devastating blow to the community, Preston’s life was cut short in a flash flood incident along with his pregnant mother, Pamela Vera, on July 11, 2019. In memory of Preston and his selfless contribution to helping others, a local group of community volunteers have banned together to form “Preston’s Pantry Project.”
“Preston’s Pantry Project” is being created to carry on Preston’s legacy. With the guidance of the Boyertown Multi-Service staff, we hope to involve community members and local businesses in an annual drive to support the Boyertown Area Multi-Service.
