Officials Warn Residents About Jury Duty Scam

The Berks County District Attorney's office is warning about jury duty phone scams.  Authorities say there have been several reports of the scam, where victims receive a call from someone claiming to be with the Sheriff's Office. Officials say the caller tells victims they failed to appear for jury duty and must immediately report to the courthouse or offer up some type of payment. The sheriff's office does not contact jurors who fail to appear or solicit money from them.
